Poultry breasts are classified as the most tasteful part of a chicken. There are numerous ways in which it is possible to cook poultry breasts. You can barbecue it, you can roast it, you can bake it, you can slice it into pieces and make Shanghai chicken or you could make “schnitzel” how the Austrians are saying.

This food recipes are tasteful but, today I’ll make chicken breasts baked in the oven.

For this I need a bag of boneless chicken breasts (around 4 pieces). You can take the breasts coming from a whole chicken though this is a bit more difficult.

If you have a package of frozen poultry breasts, you can use it but I usually do not recommend defrosting the breasts in the microwave, as it would dehydrate the meat and it’ll have a different taste.

We need some spices, some salt and pepper and some organic olive oil. I’m innovative with my spices and I will add an Indian blend of spices or herbs. You can buy it at your own neighborhood boutique. This mi which i use it’s a combination of 9 Indian spices or herbs. You should know that many herbs add some heat on your poultry therefore, in case you don’t like spicy food, I suggest you’ll utilize another thing instead.

And so, let’s proceed to the poultry breasts.

As you might notice, the chicken breasts are thinner at one end and thicker at the other one. In order to be baked properly, the breast will need to have the same thickness from an end to the other one. In order to reach that goal, we want a sharp knife. Two possibilities on how we will accomplish that. The first one is to trim the thicker part to the desired thickness and after that to unfold that part, and now, you’ll have a poultry breast with a superior area (which includes exactly the same thickness).

The 2nd alternative is to make grooves in the thicker half. The space between those grooves is required to be identical with the thickness of the slimmer part. This way you’ll have a poultry breast with the same area as before yet because of those grooves the cooking surface are going to be lager resulting in a even baking thickness.

Now have a paper towel along with the essential olive oil. Pour several essential olive oil on the poultry breast and wipe it with the paper wipe. This fashion you will have a sticky surface for your spices or herbs and they re going to stick better.

Have a pinch of salt and sprinkle it at the poultry breasts. If you have some spices or herbs mix that already has salt in it, I like to recommend you omit this. I will also not put pepper because my Indian mix is now too hot.

Never exaggerate with the herbs! So many spices or herbs will likely make the chicken taste awful! Be sure you use spices or herbs on both sides from the hen breast.

Now preheat the oven at 160 F (seventy Celsius). Get yourself a adequate pan and put the chicken breasts in it.

Place the pan within the oven and increase the temperature to 350F (180 Celsius). Let it in this way for a good half an hour. After this 30 minutes I simply open the oven and sprinkle one or two drops of wine on the poultry.

Leave it like this for fifteen minutes and have a look it with a fork. When the juices are clear, the poultry is ready.

After you take out the chicken breast out of your oven do not cut him straightaway. Let it covered for 15-20 minutes so the juices can infuse inside the meat. If you cut the chicken breast immediately, the meat is going to be dry out in a short time and we don’t wish that.

You could eat this meal just like this, otherwise you can also add a garnish with it. Here, the possibilities are limitless.
